The casting unit of Mahed Aluminum Company has used a more appropriate processing method using the DC method, which has many advantages compared to other methods for producing strong alloys with least errors. Among these, one can mention the absence of cracks or least cracks on metals. It is worth noting that this method can also produce parts with geometric shapes and specialized profiles for other industries.
An airslip aluminium billet casting system with a capacity of 30 tons was launched in the development phase of this company, which uses the latest technologies in this sector. Among them, there are Regenerative burners, a furnace atmosphere control system, and degassing from the furnace bottom (Porous Plugs) for melting and holding furnaces.
This unit has used its maximum power to produce cutting-edge and world-class quality products using an aluminium billet casting machine with the capability of producing sizes ranging from 5 to 16 inches, fully automatic storage and handling equipment with an auto stacker.
The casting unit of Mahed Aluminum Company has two 15-ton furnaces with a capacity of 7 million and 184 tons of billets per year. Also, with the launch of the second phase of this factory at the development site and the use of 4 15-ton DC furnace units, the company’s capacity was increased by 14 million and 367 tons per year.
